After letting a 2017 First Frost Vidal Blanc from Roger Ford’s Winery breathe, my first couple of sips were met with mixed results. I was pleasantly surprised by its sweetness, but the acidity note on the aftertaste was a negative. The body was light, along with the tannin, and the taste (other than its acidity) was sweet, not dry. The wine was crisp with a yellow tint, and it carried the flavors of honeysuckle and pear. In sum, I would try another bottle of this wine.
