Have you ever wanted to sleigh in 100 degree heat?

White Sands National Monument, New Mexico

The White Sands National Monument is located in the Chuhuan Desert in New Mexico, and it’s known for its rare white gypsum sand dunes. The dunes are shinny white, glittering like a field of diamonds, and hard enough to take a round plastic sleigh and rush down its steep sides. You don’t have to worry about bringing a sleigh; the park rents them for a small fee. Trust me, the rarity of sleighing in the desert heat is worth it! Just bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
