Turkey Neck Trail

Westmoreland State Park is located in Montross, Virginia, and it sits on the Potomac River’s Northern Neck. The park is filled with great hiking trails, and my favorite is the Turkey Neck Trail which leads to Fossil Beach—a 3 mile loop! The trial is a moderate hike with short elevations and narrow passings. A person will see a variety of wildlife and wetlands as they journey through a canopy of trees. Fossil Beach welcomes all, and it’s a great halfway point for a relaxing break to swim and hunt for sharks teeth.

I am adding this trail to my to-do list.
